A few weeks ago I found a piece of art in the halls that I had never noticed before. It's a lovely still life painting that reminds me of Cezanne.
It's called Round Table and it was painted by George Robinson, who I believe helped found the art department here. Also, it's 51 years old! My gosh, 1960 it was painted. The textures and colors are still gorgeous today.
It's in a weird little corner at Bethel, back by the philosophy department offices, where they have a wooden sign that says "Philosophers' Corner."
